Portable granted N1m bail in high-profile defamation case with Saheed Osupa

An Upper Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, has granted controversial singer, Habib Badmus, well known as Portable a ₦1 million bail in a defamation case filed by veteran Fuji musician Saheed Osupa.

Portable was arrested over allegations of criminal defamation, threats to life, incitement, and character assassination.

The bail conditions include providing two sureties — one from the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria and another with a landed property in a Government Reserved Area.

Despite the bail, Portable was remanded due to his inability to meet these conditions.

Dailyeconomy reports that Portable has been apprehended by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command following a petition filed by Saheed Osupa.
