Portable surrenders to Lagos police

Controversial singer Habeeb Badmus, widely known as Portable, has surrendered himself at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Wednesday.

He wrote, “Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up.”

This came after Portable, in a video posted on Tuesday, described himself as a “madman” undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta.

He made the statement while pleading with Nigerians and the Ogun State Government following the police declaration that he was wanted.

However, despite his plea, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, insisted that Portable should surrender himself for investigation.
