‪President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Social Media, Segun Dada, has fired back at Peter Obi, dismissing his warnings of Nigeria sliding into a one-party state as baseless exaggeration.‬

‪Dada in a post on X highlighted Nigeria’s vibrant multiparty democracy, noting, “Mr Obi, there are 21 registered political parties by @inecnigeria in Nigeria as of today. Almost half of these parties have elected representatives in both national and sub national governments in Nigeria.”‬

‪He further jabbed at Obi’s past affiliation, adding, “The party on whose back you contested (before running away as usual) still has elected representatives in the national assembly and controls Abia State.”‬

‪The rebuttal counters Obi’s recent concerns about the African Democratic Congress (ADC), whose leadership remains unrecognised by INEC amid ongoing court battles.‬

‪Dada accused Obi of leveraging the ADC’s “self inflicted shot to leg” to falsely portray Nigeria as a one-party dominance under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).‬

‪“Your attempt to paint Nigeria as a one party state is an insult to every sensible Nigerian. Your agenda is dead on arrival,” Dada concluded.‬
