The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has lashed out at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, labelling him a “loser” as high-profile defections from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress continue.

Onanuga, in a terse shared on his X (formally Twitter) handle, mocked Atiku’s recent efforts to forge new political alliances ahead of the 2027 elections, suggesting his moves are already unravelling.

He further claimed that Atiku’s efforts to form a viable opposition bloc had been snubbed by even his closest political allies including former running mate Ifeanyi Okowa and defunct CPC members.

He wrote, “Atiku’s political future looks bleak. The coalition that he, El Rufai, Babachir, and new member Baba-Ahmed are cobbling together has disintegrated. Potential allies, including former running mate Ifeanyi Okowa and defunct CPC members, are giving his leprous group a wide berth. Atiku is a loser again.”

The entire structure of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress, marking a significant political shift in the State, Dailyeconomy reports.

This major development followed an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting held in Asaba on Wednesday, where key party figures endorsed the transition
