Real Madrid legend, Marcelo now free agent

Marcelo is now a free agent after his contract with Fluminense was terminated.
This development was confirmed by football transfer expert and journalist, Fabrizio Romano, on X (formally Twitter) on Saturday.
He wrote, “Real Madrid legend Marcelo, now available as a free agent as his contract at Fluminense has been terminated.”
The club’s decision may not be unconnected to the player’s behaviour clash with Mano Menezes.
Marcelo was benched by Menezes following a heated disagreement over game tactics.
The 36-year-old, who puffs a remarkable five Champions League titles, departed the Bernabeu in 2022 after an illustrious 15-year career in Spain.
He then signed with Olympiacos for a season before returning to Brazil last year to don the colours of his boyhood club, Fluminense.
