Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has firmly dismissed swirling speculation linking him to the Real Madrid job, declaring his satisfaction with his current role at Red Bull.
The German, now serving as Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull organization, addressed the rumours head-on.
“Red Bull is the right place for me,” Klopp stated emphatically.
He added that ongoing developments at Real Madrid “do not concern me at all.”
Klopp expressed surprise over Real Madrid’s recent decision to sack Xabi Alonso, just six months into his tenure.
The dismissal came after a 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.
“Something isn’t quite right” at the Spanish giants, Klopp observed.
His agent, Marc Kosicke, backed up the stance, telling reporters that Klopp is content in his present role and has no intention of returning to hands-on coaching anytime soon.
