Chelsea captain Reece James has signed a new contract extension that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until June 2032, the club announced today.

The 25-year-old homegrown star expressed his delight in a statement, “I am over the moon to have extended my contract—Chelsea means so much to me. I have always said I want my peak years to be here, and I truly believe we have everything it takes to build on our previous successes.”

James, who rose through Chelsea’s academy, has faced significant challenges with recurring hamstring injuries since 2023, sidelining him for over 70 matches.

Despite these setbacks, the new deal signals the club’s unwavering faith in his full recovery and leadership qualities.
