Rema arrives in Benin ahead of Friday’s concert

Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly called Rema, has arrived in Benin City Edo State ahead of his homecoming concert on Friday, August 30.
Rema who hails from Benin City, had announced in July that he would be hosting his concert at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Rema’s arrival in Benin City was disclosed on Tuesday in a snippet video posted on X (formally Twitter) by his record label, Mavin, with the caption, “Benin, your illustrious son; The Prince of Afrobeats – Rema is Home!”
Recall that the Edo State Governor had in December 2023 attempted to host the singer but failed due to health concerns.
Rema was born on May 1, 2000 is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter. He geared recognition after posting a viral freestyle on Instagram in 2018 to D’Prince’s song “Gucci Gang”, Rema began his professional music career in 2019 with the release of his debut single, “Dumebi”.
