Residents foil bandit attack in Kwara, apprehend seven suspects in Patigi communities

Youths and residents of Lade and Dakani communities in Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State, have demonstrated remarkable bravery by apprehending seven suspected bandits.
Local security sources confirmed that three of the suspects were ambushed while attempting to buy fuel in Lade, while four others were discovered hiding in the bush in nearby Dakani, carrying weapons concealed in a sack.
The suspects have been handed over to the Nigerian Army base in Patigi for further action.
A statement on Saturday by Ibraheem Abdullateef, Senior Special Adviser to the Kwara Governor, praised the community’s courage, “The vigilance and bravery of our people are appreciated.”
Abdullateef highlighted the state’s commitment to security, stating, “Kwara State Government is leveraging combined security forces, including the Army, policemen, and vigilantes, to strengthen peace and safety in the state.”
