Fuji music legend King Saheed Osupa has expressed heartfelt gratitude after Afropop superstar Burna Boy publicly named him the greatest Fuji singer on the global stage.
In a statement on X, Osupa described Burna Boy’s recognition as “a monumental moment that celebrates the soul of Fuji music and its timeless influence.”

He said the honour “shines a brilliant light on our rich cultural heritage, bridging generations and genres worldwide.”
Osupa praised Burna Boy as “a true Afropop titan, the African Giant himself, of whom I am also a great fan,” and revealed his excitement about attending one of Burna Boy’s concerts to return the support.
He emphasised their joint mission, “Together, we are redefining African music legacy and inspiring the world with authentic, vibrant sounds.” Osupa ended with a message of unity and hope: “The journey continues, stronger and more radiant than ever! Oba Orin.”
