Sanwo-Olu, Dapo celebrates Okoya’s legacy at 85

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his counterpart, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State have praised the industrialist and Chairman of the Eleganza Group, Chief Rasaq Okoya, for his immense contributions to society.

Sanwo-Olu in his remark on Sunday described Okoya as an inspiration to many and a beacon of hope for the less privileged.

In a tweet on his X (formally Twitter) account, Sanwo-Olu wrote said, “His significant contributions to the economy and the livelihoods of many Nigerians, especially in Lagos State, where his companies thrive, have impacted our community and inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams.”

The governor also emphasised Okoya’s philanthropic efforts, emphasising his support for young people and small businesses.

“Chief Okoya’s generosity and philanthropic efforts, which have provided hope to the less privileged, are a testament to his commitment to uplifting emphasis” Sanwo-Olu added.

Sanwo-Olu extended his best wishes and prayers to the philanthropist, stating, “I wish him the very best on his special day and pray for his continued health and strength so that he can enjoy the fruits of his labour.”

The Ogun State Governor in his remark stated that Okoya’s contributions to Nigeria’s industrial growth and his enduring legacy of excellence, have inspired many generations.

Abiodun wrote on X, “On behalf of the government and people of Ogun State, I heartily congratulate a notable industrialist, elder statesman, and the Aare of Lagos, Alhaji Chief Razaq Akanni Okoya, CON, Chairman of Eleganza, on the joyous occasion of his 85th birthday today.

“Your remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s industrial growth and your enduring legacy of excellence, innovation, and philanthropy continue to inspire generations. At 85, you remain a shining example of dedication and visionary leadership.

“As you celebrate this milestone, we pray that the Almighty blesses you with continued good health, abundant grace, and unending joy. May your days ahead be filled with peace and fulfillment. Happy 85th birthday, Sir!”
