Sanwo-Olu pays tribute to late Access Bank CEO, Wigwe

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has paid tribute to the former Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe.
Wigwe died alongside his wife and son reportedly died in a helicopter crash, on Friday, February 9, 2024, in the United States of America.
Sanwo-Olu via a tribute shared on his X (formally Twitter) described Wigwe as a brother and guiding light.
He further praised Wigwe’s passion, dedication and commitment to his work and family, stating that his legacy will outlive him.
He wrote, “Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate Herbert Wigwe’s life and his profound impact on us all. Herbert was more than just a friend; he was a brother and a guiding light. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
“I will remember his passion for life, dedication to his family, and commitment to his work. Herbert’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and the warmth he shared so freely.
“As we honour his memory, let us embrace the spirit of excellence and resilience that he embodied. Let us celebrate the invaluable lessons he taught us about life, friendship, and perseverance.
“Dear Herbert. You are missed more than words can express.
Rest in peace.”
