Saudi Arabia has issued a rebuke of statements by the United States Ambassador to Israel, condemning them as a dangerous breach of international norms.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its “strongest condemnation and complete rejection” of the ambassador’s remarks, in which he “recklessly suggested that Israel’s control over the entire Middle East would be acceptable.”

The Kingdom underscored its “categorical rejection of these irresponsible remarks, which constitute a violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and established diplomatic norms.”

It warned that such rhetoric from a U.S. official “sets a dangerous precedent” and reflects “a disregard for the distinguished relations between the countries of the region and the United States of America.”

Describing the comments as “extremist rhetoric” that “portends grave consequences and threatens international peace and security,” Saudi Arabia called on the U.S. Department of State to clarify its stance, noting the remarks are “rejected by all peace-loving nations worldwide.”

The statement reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s longstanding position, rejecting “any actions that undermine the sovereignty, borders, and territorial integrity of states.”

It insisted that true peace requires “ending the occupation based on the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
