Seun Kuti distances self from Burna Boy, Speed Darlington’s feud

Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has distanced himself from the ongoing dispute between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington.

In an Instagram live session, he expressed that he will not be drawn into the controversy.

Kuti, who received diamond jewelry from Burna Boy, clarified that the gift did not imply that he was Burna Boy’s adviser.

The singer emphasised his neutrality in the situation, and declined to take sides.

Kuti brought up the irony of Speed Darlington’s accusations against Burna Boy, highlighting the irony of Speed Darlington’s accusations against Burna Boy, noting that Diddy, the American music executive at the center of the controversy, was instrumental in launching Speed Darlington’s career.

He said, “Don’t involve me in Burna Boy & Speed Darlington’s case; because I collected a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser. Diddy was even the one who made Speed Darlington popular.

“He reposted ‘Bangdadang’ which made the song popular. I have done a lot of songs, and Diddy never posted any of them, but he reposted Speed Darlington’s song.”
