Shettima lauds Air Peace on 10th anniversary

Vice President Kashim Shettima has hailed Air Peace during its 10th-anniversary celebrations describing the airline as “a Nigerian product and a Nigerian pride”.
Shettima who was represented by the Minister of Transport, Sa’idi Ahmed, while speaking at the event that occurred on October 25, 2024, acknowledged Air Peace’s significant contributions to the Nigeria aviation sector.
This was revealed in a statement Dailyeconomy obtained on Friday.
The event was attended by all 36 state governors and various industry leaders.
Shettima praised Air Peace for its resilience and role in enhancing Nigeria’s global connectivity, while also emphasising the government’s commitment to supporting the airline’s continued success.
The statement partly reads, “The Vice President remarked that Air Peace has always answered the call of the nation, recalling the airline’s pivotal role in repatriating Nigerians from conflict zones in Sudan, Libya, and South Africa.
“The Vice President’s message concluded with a call to action, urging Air Peace to keep its focus on people and community. ‘prioritize the people, listen to them, and carry them along.’
“As Air Peace looks ahead to the next decade, it does so with a renewed commitment to its core values and a steadfast dedication to connecting Nigerians with the world.“
