Super Eagle’s attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed how his teammates gave him the title of “Senior Man” while in training.
Iheanacho in his first interview as a Sevilla player stated that the title originated during a casual moment with teammates Wilfred Ndidi and Daniel Amartey.
He stated that while they were walking together, they began jokingly calling him “Senior Man,” and the name quickly caught on, becoming widely used among his peers and fans.
He said, “One day, Wilfred Ndidi, Daniel Amartey, and I were walking, and they started calling me Senior Man. We started making jokes about it and videos about it. Then, from there, everybody started calling me Senior Man.”
However, the affectionate title reflects his personality and the camaraderie he shares with his teammates, contributing to his popularity at clubs like Leicester City and now Sevilla FC.
