Tanker explosion: First Lady sympathises with Jigawa governor

First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has sent a heartfelt condolence to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi over a miserable tanker explosion.

The catastrophe event which claimed 100 lives, many others injured and caused significant loss of property occurred on Wednesday,

Her consoling message was contained in a statement she shared via her X (Twitter) handle on Wednesday.

It reads, “I condole with the Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency, Mallam Umar Namadi, and the good people of the State on the unfortunate tanker explosion which occurred on Wednesday, 16th October 2024.

“This tragic incident which left many dead, several injured, and loss of properties is most unfortunate.

“My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I pray to God to grant the friends, families, and loved ones of the departed souls the fortitude to bear the painful loss and grant speedy recovery to the injured.

“May Almighty Allah grant Aljanah Fridaus to the departed and comfort all those affected by this tragedy.”
