Three arrested for kidnapping of minor in Kano

The Kano Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspected kidnappers who allegedly kidnapped a four-year-old boy in Kano State.
This was revealed in a statement by the state command on Tuesday.
The suspect according to the statement demanded a ransom of N10 million and the sum of N300,000:00) was paid before the police operatives apprehended them.
While carrying out the investigation, a suspect who happened to be the victim’s cousin revealed that he teamed up with two other suspects to kidnap the child and took him to their abode.
The statement reads, “On 7th of September 2024, the Kano State Police Command’s Surveillance Team led by CSP Kabiru Isah Kangiwa arrested three kidnapping suspects who Kidnapped a four year old boy, Muhammad Nasir Jamilu. The suspect demanded a ransom of ten million naira (N10,000,000:00) where the sum of three hundred thousand naira
(N300,000:00) was paid, pending the balance.
“During the investigation, the principal suspect who is the victim’s cousin confessed to having conspired with the two other suspects, kidnapped the victim and took him to their hideout in Gwarzo LGA, Kano.
“The case will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.”
