Three arrested for possessing gun in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three individuals while on stop and search for possessing a locally-made pistol.
The suspects according to the post shared on the State Command X (formally Twitter) handle on Monday were apprehended in the Obalende area of Lagos State.
The suspects are according to the post identified as Stephen Olawale, James Ayeba and Uzochukwu.
The post reads, “Officers of Lagos State Police Command, while on Stop and Search duty at Obalende, Lagos, arrested one Stephen Olawale ‘m’ aged 42, James Ayeba ‘m’ aged 21 and Uzochukwu ‘m’ aged 38, after it was found in the possession of the suspects a locally made pistol.”
However, Dailyeconomy on June 30, reported that the Lagos patrol team from the Ilemba Hausa Division apprehended two armed robbers and recovered a firearm in the Imude area, Ojo Local Government, Lagos.
