Three die in truck accident in Lagos

A truck that reportedly experienced a brake failure crashed into Ayetoro Market in Lagos, resulting in at least three fatalities.

The truck, which was reported descending from Ita-Opo, is said to have lost its brakes, colliding with a commercial tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry before ultimately crashing into the market.

This was made known on Monday,  by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.

The caption of the scene video reads, “A fatal accident occurred due to a brake failure of a Truck descending from Ita-Opo and hit a commercial Tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry, then also rammed into the Ayetoro Market/Complex.

“3 lives were lost and they’ve been taken to the morgue at Epe General hospital while we have a Tow truck on ground to evacuate the affected vehicles.

“Traffic has been diverted for easy vehicular movement.”
