President Bola Tinubu has rallied All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Osun State to prioritise unity, discipline, and consensus-building during a high-level meeting at the State House, emphasizing these values as key to the party’s future electoral dominance.
Tinubu highlighted the critical role of internal cohesion amid ongoing reconciliation efforts.
“Cohesion remains essential for the APC’s long-term stability in the state,” he stated, adding that “peace and mutual respect among party actors would help consolidate progress made in recent reconciliation efforts.”
The President urged leaders to favour cooperation over rivalry, declaring, “Cooperation rather than rivalry will determine the party’s ability to achieve electoral success.”
He called on all to “work together and place the party’s interest above personal ambitions.”
Tinubu praised key figures including APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Progressive Governors Forum Chairman Hope Uzodimma, and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola for their “steady guidance throughout the consensus process.”
Osun APC chieftain Oyebamiji Bola, who attended the meeting, echoed the President’s message.
He lauded fellow aspirants for their “maturity and willingness to prioritise unity,” calling it “a reflection of brotherhood and shared sacrifice.”
Bola reaffirmed his commitment to party supremacy, pledging “full support for the consensus arrangement” to build “a united and formidable APC in Osun State.”
