Tinubu celebrates former CIIN president, Babington-Ashaye on 60th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has lauded an insurance tycoon, Funmi Babington-Ashaye on the occasion of her 60th birthday.
Tinubu in a statement shared on Friday by the Presidency, described Ashaye as a visionary leader in Nigeria’s insurance sector and a pillar of socio-economic progress.
Tinubu lauded Babington-Ashaye’s transformative impact on the Insurance industry, particularly her tenure as the 48th President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
The statement reads, “President Bola Tinubu today joyfully celebrates Dr Funmi Babington-Ashaye’s 60th birthday, applauding her trailblazing career in the insurance sector and commitment to Nigeria’s socioeconomic advancement.
As the 48th President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Dr. Babington-Ashaye, now the CEO of Risk Analyst Insurance Brokers, spearheaded innovative reforms that elevated industry standards and expanded access to financial security for Nigerians.
“Her leadership at Cornerstone Insurance Plc and NICON Insurance Corporation further cemented her role as a key figure in shaping the sector’s growth.
“Beyond her corporate achievements, Dr. Babington-Ashaye has championed ethical governance. Her involvement with the Chartered Institute of Directors (loD) and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) reflects her commitment to driving positive change.
