Tinubu commends Oluwo of Iwo on 10th installation anniversary

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu I, celebrating a decade since his ascension to the throne.

In a statement on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the President joined “the sons and daughters of Iwoland, as well as friends and associates of the influential monarch,” to mark this significant milestone.

Highlighting the impact of Oba Akanbi’s reign, President Tinubu noted his “tremendous impact and progressive streaks” over the past ten years.

He particularly praised the Oluwo’s dedication to preserving and revitalising Yoruba cultural heritage.

The President acknowledged the monarch’s unique leadership style, stating, “Like him or hate him, you can hardly ignore his dynamism and leadership and the fact that his people deeply love him.”

He extended his best wishes for “many more years on the throne and a continued life of impact,” noting his solidarity with the people of Iwo during this celebration.
