Tinubu hails Super Eagles’ ‘gold-like’ bronze at AFCON 2025

President Bola Tinubu has praised Nigeria’s Super Eagles for securing a hard-earned bronze medal at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025, calling the achievement one that “surely feels good like gold.”
In a statement on Sunday, Tinubu commended the team’s resilience despite a semi-final loss to Morocco.
“I congratulate our gallant Super Eagles @NGSuperEagles on their hard-earned bronze medal at AFCON 2025,” he wrote.
He highlighted their comeback against Egypt, noting, “our Super Eagles showed resilience, overcame Egypt, and made us proud.”
