President Bola Tinubu has showered praise on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike as he marks his birthday today, hailing him as an “audacious top performer” whose leadership is reshaping Abuja.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu thanked God for Wike’s life of “purpose, service, and courage,” spotlighting the former Rivers State governor’s role in breaking a 14-year deadlock on the Apo-Karshi road project. This intervention forms part of broader infrastructure expansions transforming the FCT.
The President lauded Wike’s “resilience, can-do attitude, and commitment to excellence,” crediting him with delivering unprecedented results.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu stated.
He further commended Wike as “one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party,” wishing him strength for continued service.
