President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Temitola Adekunle-Johnson and Uju Anwuka as Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and MSME (Office of the Vice President) and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Health (Office of the Vice President) respectively.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, both appointees previously held similar roles within the Vice President’s office.
Adekunle-Johnson, who served as Senior Special Assistant (SSA), played a key role in advancing the administration’s initiatives in job creation and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) development.
He supervised projects such as the Expanded National MSME Clinics and the Shared Facility Initiative.
Anwuka, who was Special Assistant on Public Health, spearheaded efforts to combat malnutrition and hunger, particularly in vulnerable communities.
She was instrumental in the implementation of the recently launched Nutrition 774 Initiative.
The statement thereby enunciated that the appointments align with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in the areas of job creation, small business development, and public health.
However, as revealed in the statement, their new appointments take immediate effect.
