President Bola Tinubu has sympathised with the victims, families and the Borno State Government over the bomb attack that led to the loss of lives and injured some residents of the Gwoza Local Government, Borno State.
The unfortunate incident that occurred on Saturday according to the State Emergency Management Agency, claimed 18 lives and more than 30 individuals were injured.
Tinubu according to a Facebook post by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday, described the attack as a desperate act of terror.
He said, “This is a desperate act of terror and a clear manifestation of the pressure mounted against terrorists and the success achieved in degrading their capacity to launch offensives.”
The President according to the statement, declared that the distributors of violence shall face justice.
“The purveyors of wanton violence shall have a certain encounter with justice, and these cowardly attacks are only but an isolated episode as my government will not allow the nation to slither into an era of fear, tears, sorrow, and blood.
“My administration is taking necessary measures to secure citizens, emphasising that efforts will be redoubled to ensure that those who trouble the nation, dispatching precious lives, and disrupting law and order are completely removed,” the statement read.
