Troops of the Joint Task Force have successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack on a military base in Waga Village, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

This was disclosed in a report on Saturday, by a counter-insurgency expert focused on the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama.

Makama revealed that intelligence sources informed him the attack occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Friday after suspected terrorists launched an assault on the base.

According to the report, the troops swiftly responded, forcing the insurgents to retreat.

Makama said sources confirmed that there were no casualties among security personnel or residents of the community and that normalcy has since been restored.
