Troops from Operation Hadin Kai have thwarted a suicide bombing plot in Gwoza Local Government Area, neutralising three terrorists and preventing a devastating strike on civilians.

The intelligence-led operation unfolded along the Guduf Pulka axis, where soldiers intercepted the bombers before they could infiltrate populated areas.

Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for the Joint Task Force North East, confirmed the success, stating, “Troops successfully neutralised three terrorist suicide bombers following a deliberate, intelligence-driven operation conducted along the Guduf Pulka axis in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.”

During the clash, forces recovered suicide vests and improvised explosive device components from the attackers.

They also inflicted heavy losses on the bombers’ escorts, scattering survivours toward the Mandara Mountains.

Early investigations point to the Ali Ngulde-led JAS faction of Boko Haram, operating from Mandara Mountain hideouts, as responsible for dispatching the assailants.

Operation Hadin Kai vows to ramp up patrols using human intelligence, technical surveillance, and partnerships with local agencies and volunteers in Borno and Yobe States.

The command reiterated its dedication to ongoing offensives against terrorists to safeguard the Northeast region.
