The former United States President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has expressed his desire to appoint Tech mogul and X (formally Twitter) Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk to a cabinet position or an advisory role within his administration if he returns to power.
Trump disclosed this in an interview with news agency Reuters when he was asked whether Musk was being considered for an advisory role or Cabinet job.
He said, “If he (Musk) would do it; he is a very smart guy. I certainly would, if he would do it, I certainly would. He’s a brilliant guy.”
Reacting to the Trump interview, Musk, in a post on X wrote, “I am willing to serve.”
Last month, Musk endorsed Trump for president. He praised the former president’s courage after surviving an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania and expressed admiration for Trump’s vice presidential pick, JD Vance.
