President Donald Trump has announced today that Venezuela’s Interim Authorities will transfer between 30 and 50 million barrels of high-quality, sanctioned oil to the United States, with proceeds earmarked to benefit both nations under his direct oversight.

In a statement released Wednesday, Trump said, “I am pleased to announce that the Interim Authorities in Venezuela will be turning over between 30 and 50 MILLION Barrels of High Quality, Sanctioned Oil, to the United States of America.

“This Oil will be sold at its Market Price, and that money will be controlled by me, as President of the United States of America, to ensure it is used to benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States!”

The president tasked Energy Secretary Chris Wright with immediate execution, specifying that the oil will be transported via storage ships straight to U.S. unloading docks.

“I have asked Energy Secretary Chris Wright to execute this plan, immediately.

“It will be taken by storage ships, and brought directly to unloading docks in the United States,” Trump added.

This development according to him marks a significant diplomatic and energy win amid ongoing U.S. sanctions on Venezuelan oil, potentially easing domestic fuel prices while redirecting funds for humanitarian and bilateral purposes.

Trump concluded his remarks with, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
