United States President Donald Trump has announced a pivotal phone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, paving the way for high-stakes discussions on Greenland’s strategic role amid rising global tensions.

In a statement released Tuesday, Trump confirmed his agreement to convene “various parties” at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

He emphasised Greenland’s critical importance, stating plainly, “Greenland is imperative for National and World Security. There can be no going back — On that, everyone agrees!”

Trump highlighted US military dominance as a cornerstone of worldwide peace, crediting his first-term rebuild and ongoing accelerations.

“The United States of America is the most powerful Country anywhere on the Globe, by far,” he wrote.

“We are the only POWER that can ensure PEACE throughout the World — And it is done, quite simply, through STRENGTH!”

The announcement underscores Trump’s long-standing interest in Greenland, which he previously floated as a potential US acquisition for security reasons.
