UEFA has stepped in to pressure the Football Association (FA) to fast-track its investigation into Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk’s doping case, aiming to end months of uncertainty for the Ukrainian star.

Mudryk has been out of action since November 2024, when he tested positive for a banned substance during a routine doping control.

The positive test immediately sidelined the 25-year-old from all competitive football, casting a shadow over his promising career at Stamford Bridge.

Recent reports suggest growing evidence that any ingestion of the substance was unintentional, fueling optimism that Mudryk could soon be exonerated.

Fans and pundits have slammed the process for its lack of transparency, demanding quicker answers after more than a year of limbo.

Sources indicate UEFA’s intervention stems from frustration over the delays, with the Chelsea forward reportedly nearing a full clearance.

No official timeline has been confirmed, but a favourable ruling could see Mudryk back on the pitch imminently, boosting Chelsea’s squad depth.

The case highlights ongoing challenges in anti-doping protocols, where provisional suspensions can drag on amid complex scientific reviews.

Chelsea remains supportive, insisting Mudryk has cooperated fully throughout.
