US Ambassador, Trade Minister, discuss bilateral investments

Ambassador of the United States of America to Nigeria, Richard M. Mills, Jr. have met with Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, to discuss enhancing bilateral investment and trade between the United States and Nigeria.

The meeting emphasised the commitment of both countries to foster a strong partnership.

It was disclosed in a statement on Monday, via the X (formally Twitter) handle of the United States Diplomatic Mission Nigeria, that in 2024, the US and Nigeria traded over $9 billion in goods, highlighting the significant economic relationship between the two nations.

The statement reads, “Recently, Ambassador Mills met the Hon. Minister #JOduwole to discuss how to strengthen bilateral investment and trade between the United States and Nigeria. In 2024, our countries traded over $9 billion in goods.

“We’re committed to our continued strong partnership as we work together to increase trade and investment towards a more prosperous future.”
