US delivers military supplies to Nigeria

The United States has delivered a new shipment of military equipment to Nigeria, in a move Washington says is aimed at strengthening Abuja’s ongoing security operations and deepening defence ties between both countries.

U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) confirmed the development in a post on X on Tuesday, saying that “U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja.”

According to the command, the latest delivery is intended to boost Nigeria’s current military efforts, noting that “this delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasises our shared security partnership.”
