Video: 14 arrested for street trading, loitering in Lagos

Agents of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) detained 14 people during a surveillance operation on Charity Bridge heading toward Mile 2.

The operation resulted in the capture of 12 individuals involved in illegal activities and two street vendors.

This information was shared in a post on the X (formerly Twitter) account of Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos Commissioner for the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.

The statement states, “During surveillance operation this morning, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial apprehended 12 miscreants and 2 street traders on top of Charity Bridge inward Mile 2. They are: Kayode Solomon – 30yrs, Destiny Chima- 48yrs, Abdullahi Saidu- 25 yrs, Egbe Robinson- 20yrs, Ekundayo John – 18yrs, Francis David- 25yrs, Aminu Mohammed- 21yrs, Isa Iliyasu – 25yrs, Ibikunle Seyi – 23yrs, Wasiu Salami – 33yrs, Sulaiman Lawal- 19yrs, Temitope Olawale 23yrs, Qassim Yusuf – 23yrs, Olamide Favour – 18yrs.

“All suspects will be prosecuted in accordance with the relevant law of the state.”
