Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei delivered a staunch rebuke of negotiations with the United States, declaring them incompatible with threats and alleged crimes.

Baghaei emphasised Iran’s historical grievances, stating, “Negotiation is in no way compatible with ultimatums, crimes, or threats to commit war crimes.”

He continued, highlighting past experiences, “The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian nation have a very bitter experience when it comes to negotiations with America, and we did not gain these experiences easily so that we simply ignore them.”

Baghaei urged national focus on defense amid ongoing hostilities, adding, “As I said and emphasised, in a situation where our enemy is increasing the amount of his crimes and we know that he is committing a new crime every day, all of us must be focused on defending the country.”

United States President Donald Trump has unleashed a social media post on Sunday, threatening Iran with devastating strikes unless it reopens the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil chokepoint, Dailyeconomy reports.

In the post, he wrote, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”
