Speaker Tajudeen Abbas announced this change during Tuesday’s plenary session, marking a notable reduction in the PDP’s influence in the lower chamber.

This news follows a series of high-profile departures from the party, including former PDP vice-presidential candidate Ifeanyi Okowa and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The lawmakers stated that their choice was influenced by ongoing internal conflicts within the PDP’s national leadership, which they claim have not been addressed and are further undermining the party’s structure.
