Video: American Airlines passengers evacuate after fire incident

Passengers on American Airlines Flight AA3023 had to evacuate on Saturday at Denver International Airport following a fire caused by a malfunction with the landing gear.

The airline stated that the Boeing 737 MAX 8, which was set to fly to Miami International Airport, encountered a maintenance problem with one of its tires during its pre-flight preparations.

All 173 passengers and six crew members were evacuated safely.

Reports from U.S. media indicate that one passenger suffered a minor injury and was transported to the hospital, while five others received care at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the incident was associated with a “potential landing gear issue” and has begun an investigation.
