In his pre-match briefing, Amorim provided a positive update on the squad’s fitness.

“We are going, no issues. No different issues,” he stated confidently.

“We’re going to see tomorrow have more and more training. I don’t think so that they are going to—anyone is going to recover.

“But obviously players like Harry and Bruno would be a huge boost for a place like Elland Road.”

The Portuguese boss, yet to experience the intensity of this Yorkshire rivalry firsthand, acknowledged its significance while keeping expectations grounded.

“No, I heard that there’s a big derby, great environment, big rivalry,” Amorim said.

“But every game in Premier League is so tough for us. So it’s one more game. I know that it means a lot to the fans. But we need to go there and try to win.”

Reflecting on United’s impressive season trajectory—sitting sixth and just three points shy of the top four six months after their Europa League final heartbreak—Amorim expressed measured satisfaction.

“We are playing better. When we have full squad we are clearly attacking better,” he noted.

“We are not being good enough in the details, which should have more points at the moment. But of course he wants always more and we should have again, we should have more points in the table.”

United fans will hope for those fine margins to swing their way in tomorrow’s showdown, with Amorim’s side aiming to extend their form against a Leeds outfit hungry for local bragging rights.
