Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has hailed young defender Ayden Heaven following the 4:1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.
Sharing a post-match video with the caption “Heaven sent,” United highlighted the promising talent’s impactful performance during the match.
In the post-match interview footage, Amorim expressed his satisfaction, saying, “I’m really proud of everyone today. They did a very good job.”
He singled out Heaven, describing him as a player with “a great future” and praised his adaptability in the center of defense, “He’s really hard to beat. He adapts really well in the centre.”
Amorim acknowledged the team’s defensive challenges due to injuries, mentioning, “We have Matta and Harry with problems,” emphasising Heaven’s importance in filling these gaps.
He added constructive notes on the youngster’s stamina, saying, “Of course, it needs more rhythm to play 90 minutes,” but also commended his defensive positioning: “Sometimes he plays man-to-man position in that position, and I think he did really well.”
The manager was impressed by Heaven’s composure on the ball, noting, “And I think they enjoyed to see him with the ball. That was a very good point for this game.”
