Speaking in a live Facebook broadcast, Dokubo declared Nigeria would become the “graveyard” for any military strike led by the U.S.
He said, “Let Trump come with his America, they will all die, that is why when they talk of America, I say it’s a sick country, a country of mad people, insane people, and that is why they can elect a lunatic as their president.”
Dokubo condemned Trump’s aggressive military posturing, saying the U.S. is led by individuals with reckless ambitions.
“This lunatic wants to annex Canada, he wants Iceland, wants to kill the president of Venezuela, he wants to kill the Supreme leader of Iran,” he said.
The ex-warlord also addressed the violence in Nigeria, challenging claims that the killings target only Christians.
“Muslims are also being massacred,” he insisted, urging that resistance would be fierce should any invasion occur: “We always tell you that we don’t just talk, we perform.”
The Nigerian government echoed these concerns, clarifying that the ongoing violence affects both Muslims and Christians, contradicting narratives that it is religiously selective.
Public opinion in Nigeria remains divided, with some supporting Trump’s threats as a means of intervention, while others view any U.S. action as a breach of the country’s sovereignty.
