When asked about his chances of winning the ADC ticket, Atiku responded with assured optimism, “I’m confident. Let everyone compete, it is competition, it is democracy.”

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), which has recently been designated as the platform for Nigeria’s opposition coalition, has appointed former Senate President David Mark as its interim national chairman and former Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola as interim national secretary, Dailyeconomy reports.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for the 2023 presidential election who is part of the coalition also announced his plan to run for president once more in 2027.

In a recent interview, Obi dismissed speculation that he would accept a position as the running mate for former Atiku or any other contender.

When questioned about the possibility of being Atiku’s running mate in the upcoming 2027 election, Obi stated, “This is not in play; nobody has ever discussed that. People assume so many things. Nobody has ever discussed with me whether I am going to be A or B or C.
