On Friday, former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Namadi Sambo paid a courtesy call to former Osun State Governor and ex-Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, at his home in Ilesa, Osun State.

This visit occurred just hours before the anticipated coronation of Oba Clement Adesuyi Haastrup as the 49th Owa Obokun and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, set to take place today.

The meeting took place amidst heightened interest in the royal transition, particularly after the Osun State High Court in Ilesa ruled on Thursday not to issue an injunction to halt the coronation, thus allowing the event to go ahead as scheduled.
