Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been sighted with a branded campaign vehicle signaling his 2027 presidential ambition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), sparking widespread speculation about his political trajectory.

In a viral video shared on Thursday, Atiku was seen posing with supporters in front of the vehicle emblazoned with his image and the ADC logo before entering an apartment with his team.
Atiku’s move is expected to complicate ongoing negotiations within ADC as the party grapples with balancing regional power demands and ambitions of key figures.
While Atiku from Adamawa is positioning himself to be the coalition’s candidate, others like former Anambra Governor Peter Obi and ex-Minister Rotimi Amaechi have declared their intentions with distinct regional appeals.
Peter Obi, who ran under the Labour Party in 2023, has promised “competent, capable, and compassionate leadership” with a willingness to serve only one term, in a bid to rotate power back to the North afterward.
