Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has criticised the Spanish national team for fielding 18-year-old forward Lamine Yamal despite his existing pubic area discomfort.

Flick said the teenager was given painkillers and forced to play over 150 minutes across two World Cup qualifiers without proper recovery or training in between.
He said, “Lamine Yamal will not be available tomorrow, it is a pity. He played with the national team despite pain. He had problems, played 79 and 73 minutes, and didn’t even train between matches because of this pain, that’s not really taking care of the players.
“He did not train in the Spain camp but still played matches.
“I think Spain has the best players in the world in every position, they’re unbelievably good; maybe also when they want to take care of players or young players it’s like that. That’s what I can say and I am really sad about it.”
