In a viral video rant delivered in passionate Nigerian Pidgin, Seun labeled Wizkid “the biggest clout chaser in Nigeria,” alleging the tattoo is a sneaky infiltration tactic to “destroy Fela’s legacy from the inside.”
The outburst, which has racked up millions of views since its release, escalates a beef that kicked off on January 20, 2026.
It began when Seun dismissed Wizkid’s fans as “undervalued,” prompting Wizkid to fire back at Seun’s music as unoriginal and driven by “hunger,” while dragging family legacies into the mix with personal barbs.
Seun didn’t hold back in the clip, contrasting Wizkid’s alleged deceit with Burna Boy’s authenticity.
“That’s why Burna will always be superior, sir. Your ambition is to replace Fela in our minds. Fela still speaks louder than you. Despite all that, your tattoo shining is just an infiltrator’s childish method of getting inside so he can start destroying from within,” he said.
He went further, tying Wizkid’s career struggles to the supposed curse, “That’s why your first albums didn’t succeed. And the moment you succeeded, even till now, you don’t know why you tweeted that.”
Seun warned that the tattoo dooms Wizkid’s future success unless removed, framing it as a hypocritical ploy amid “beef in your heart.”
Social media threads overwhelmingly side with Wizkid, with fans slamming Seun for riding his father Fela’s fame without innovating Afrobeat like his peers.
“Seun is just bitter—Wizkid modernised the sound while he clings to the past,” one top reply read, highlighting deep divides in Nigeria’s music scene rivalries.
