A fierce fire tore through a section of Bolade Arena Market in Oshodi on Tuesday night, gutting ten 40-foot container shops packed with clothing bales.

The blaze struck five containers arranged in two rows, where traders stored and sold fabric materials.
Quick action by firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent areas of the bustling market.
In an official statement, Margaret Adeseye, Controller General of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed the situation is fully under control.
“There is no threat to lives or surrounding property,” she assured the public.
The agency plans to investigate the fire’s cause and will share updates as they emerge.
This marks another fire incident in Lagos, raising ongoing concerns about market safety.
