Video: Dangote dismisses NUPENG’s job loss claims, highlights major truck acquisitions

Industrial tycoon and the founder of Dangote Refinery, Aliko Dangote has publicly refuted claims by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) that job losses are imminent in the sector. Speaking candidly, Dangote expressed amusement at the union’s warnings.

“I laughed when, what do you call them?” Dangote remarked. When reminded, “NUPENG,” he continued, “I don’t even remember them.”
Dangote emphasised the company’s robust investment amid such concerns, stating, “NUPENG said there will be job losses, but we not only bought 4,000 CNG trucks; we bought 10,000 trucks, 4,000 tankers, and 6,000 dry cargo.”
