King Charles III has delivered a poignant pre-recorded message for the Stand Up To Cancer campaign, honouring healthcare workers, caregivers, and support networks who aid cancer patients and families.
In the heartfelt video address, the King drew from his own cancer journey—diagnosed in February 2024—praising the “compassion, expertise and kindness at every stage of treatment” that provided him reassurance.
He emphasised the power of human connection, stating, “the deep comfort found in compassion, expertise and kindness at every stage of treatment.”
The monarch extended his gratitude widely, saying, “To all those who care for patients and families, and to everyone who offers support in ways seen and unseen—we thank you.”
The message bolsters Stand Up To Cancer’s efforts to fund research, improve treatments, and promote early detection.
Since his diagnosis, King Charles has resumed public duties amid ongoing treatment, leveraging his influence to champion cancer care.
